It's time for analysis. To help transform your self-consciousness into self-confidence, you need to look within yourself to determine where your self-consciousness comes from. I know that I listened to my mother degrade herself and her own looks all the time. Even though I don't have the same body type as my mom, those roots took hold in my own mind and I started thinking the same things about myself.
Is it media pressure? A bad relationship? Knowing why you feel the way that you do will help you tackle the problem of changing your thinking. So, take some time and do some soul-searching. When did you start feeling bad about yourself? Did this coincide with anything? What do you think?
